Enrolment

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria. Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on the student's permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Department of Education's Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Transition

Heathcote Primary School's transition program includes Foundation transition sessions along with whole school 'Step Up' sessions. These dates will be listed on the website and communicated directly to enrolled families later in Term 2.

During the 'Step Up' sessions, students move into their future cohort, spending time completing a range of activities. This provides an opportunity for students to build new friendships and work with different teachers. The final Step Up session coincides with the Statewide Transition Day on Tuesday 8th December 2026 where all students spend time with their future classmates and teacher/s.

Family input is a valued part of Heathcote PS's transition program with families invited to share information through a 'Get to Know...' document and start of the year partnership meetings. Students who join Heathcote PS throughout the year have the option of transition visits before their first official day.
